Analysis of Internal Resonance of a 3DOF Dynamic System Reduced from the Tower-Cable-Beam Structure

To study the complex mechanism of high-dimensional nonlinear cable systems, a 3 degree-of-freedom model reduced from tower-cable-beam structure is proposed and investigated in this paper. Based on D’Alembert Principle, dynamic equations in-plane out-of-plane vibration are established simulated by 4th-order Runge-Kutta method. The results exhibit phenomenon coupling internal resonance under systematical conditions revealed analytical analysis equations. smaller mass ratio cable-beam would lead to greater intensity while tensile stiffness initial force have no significant effect. out-plane vibrations independent, not be excited harmonic excitation axis. Additionally, applying damping any component system verified an effective approach reduction. Compared with ordinary cables, cables less-weight high-strength materials exited less same external excitation.
